Tour Plan
Departure for Ouarzazate. We will cross the Atlas Mountains, passing through the highest point in the country, known as the Tichka Pass. We will make several stops in typical Berber villages and panoramic viewpoints, as well as at an argan oil cooperative. Argan is a local product, and we will learn about its production process and its many benefits. We will stop at the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site where several films such as The Mummy and Kingdom of Heaven have been filmed. It was once a stopping place for caravans so travelers could swap camels for horses to cross the mountains. At midday, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, the mecca of Moroccan cinema. We will visit the Kasbah of Tarourit, the former residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and one of the best-preserved in Morocco. We will also take the opportunity to visit the film museum, dedicated to the films shot in the area. We'll pass through the Dades Valley, visiting the so-called "monkey's fingers," a rock formation that has taken on unusual shapes. We'll spend the night in the Dades Valley.
Departure for Merzouga, passing through the Todra Gorges, where we can enjoy a beautiful walk following the course of the river, observing its small waterfalls. This is a popular area for climbers seeking new sensations. We will pass through the Tinghir palm grove, where we will see the impressive contrast between its lush vegetation and the arid surrounding landscape, until we reach the city of Erfoud, a paradise for fossil hunters, as the area was once covered by water. It is also known for the discovery of several dinosaur bones. From Erfoud, we will head to Merzouga, in the desert, where we will take the dromedaries that will take us into the dunes and spend the night in a typical Berber tent.
Return to the hotel for a shower and breakfast. Departure for Ouarzazate. We will pass through the Draa Valley, one of the largest in Morocco, home to numerous kasbahs that served as defenses for the region. We will be able to stroll through its palm groves on several occasions and appreciate the change in temperature as we enter. We will eat in Ouarzazate and then continue along winding roads, stopping at panoramic views, to Marrakech.

This is the best tour on the east coast! It was amazing how many places we visited and what great memories we made!

This was not our first time going to here. It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
